What I rec: Face/Murdock stories, and I like stuff with the team.
Frisco Holiday A fun AU wherein Face is the rich Bancroft air who just wants to get away for a while. Murdock is a reporter with a moral dilemma. PG
Of Gossamer Dreams and Christmas Wishes Christmas fics are always a nice read in the winter season. PG
If Only Read everything by Lamardeuse. One of my favorite authors across many fandoms. This is one of the best AUs I've ever read wherein Face never joined the military but the A-team still exists. His first meeting with Murdock is a fluke... which leads to another meeting later on. Wonderful plot and characterization. I just love this fic. NC-17
Golfing the Old Chisholm Trail by emmastark. Emma's a fabulous author. This story is an epilogue to the episode "Heavy Bread" that refers to the team's time in the POW camp. A gen fic, the team are all camped out at Hannibal's to avoid the usual MPs. Murdock's obsession with the "golfball liberation front" is explained better here. A serious fic, but not terribly dark.
Looking Through You by witchbaby; yup, another author I quite like. Here we've got missing scenes from "Beast from the Belly of a Boeing." Murdock's getting a few flashbacks while he struggles to make a plan to save the team and himself.
When the Going Gets Tough by Lark, yet another wonderful author. This one is non-explicit Slash (M/F of course). Things aren't going so well; Hannibal's given the team down- time so Murdock and Face were looking forward to some time together. Instead, Hannibal's got Face running around doing odd jobs and it's putting strains and all sorts of relationships.
First Time NC-17 slash A short bit about one particular leave during the Vietnam War. It hadn't been planned, and they're not so sure of the meaning, but Murdock's encouraging Face to take it in stride.
Rescue by Junkfoodmonkey. A gen story, Face is kidnapped for revenge and to push the team into a corner. Not that the team's going to accept that. So the rest of the team works on tracking him down while Face works from the inside on an escape plan. Or multiple escape plans. It's not so easy. Some great insight into Face here, and reflective of episode-like missions (just without the gratuitous and plotless violence and explosions). R
Madness in the Spring Beginning with Murdock and face first meeting, taking the timeline through to the beginning of the team's "settling" in LA. Absolutely amazing fic. Slash, not explicit, but higher rating due to some hard POW stuff and a fair bit of angst. The relationship develops soooo well here and all the characters are wonderfully recognizable.
Points for Spelling Quirky and kinda cute. Murdock/Face slash, a get-together fic. PG-13ish
